What would you do if you could fly?

If i could fly i would see everything that i wouldnt be able to see if i was unable to fly.I would fly to Sydney to visit friends. It would be cool to fly around, and not need a drive again.I would fly all over the world and visit places. It would be amazing to do all this stuff and be able to tell my friends about it.Flying would be an incredible experience especially for those who get the opportunity to do so.

What would you do if you could be invisible for a day?

If i was invisible for a day i would peek at hot sexy males in the shower.I would also go to Germany to see Robert Pattenson.I would not forget to take pictures while they are taking their shower.I would be like a dream to have the opportunity to do so.I would stay even when my time was up, and when i got home i would look at all the pictures i have taken.I would have the memories and the photos for the rest of my life.

Different day

December 17,2012

Today is such a beautiful day out for this time of the month.I was very sick all last week, missed school and never stepped outside the door.I feel much better today and can enjoy the outdoors.I recently watched the movie "Breaking Dawn part two" and i thought that it could have been a whole lot better, and i hope they will make a continuation from where they left off.Im writing a science and geography test today ,and i believe that i will do great on them.We have only four more days till Christmas break ,and i imagine everyone cannot wait for that.

Former teacher ready for Doomsday

December 17, 2012

This article is about a 78 year old former high school teacher who believes that the apocalypse or doomsday will happen on December 21 of this year.Bruce Beach has been preparing for any type of disaster for half a century. He has a huge nuclear bunker in Ontario, and built his first shelter in the 1960's for the Cuban Missile Crisis.
His main concern right now is two of his main generators are down, but might have plenty of time to fix them.Bruce fears that nuclear attacks are closer due to Middle East conflicts, and Iran's suspected weapons program.
In my opinion i think that the world will not end on December 21 of this year because i dont believe that anyone can predict such a thing. If something so disasterous was to happen, nobody on this planet would be able to hide from it,or have the power to stop it.

A Worn Path by Eudora Welty

This is a short story about an old African-American woman,Phoenix Jackson, and her journey through the woods into town.It is a fiction story set in Mississippi during the 1940's.She lives in the pine woods and faces the challenging experience of walking through the snowy frozen earth to get to the hospital in the city of Natchez. She makes this journey to get medicine for her grandson even though she faces obstacles and encounters.Phoenix would usually have her head tied in a red rag,and carry a small cane made from an umbrella to help her walk along. She wore a dark striped dress, and an apron with a full pocket.Phoenix would walk with her shoelaces untied and had cataracts over her eyes which made it hard for her to see.On her journey she comes across a white hunter and his dog who helps her out of a ditch but patronizes her and bullies her because she s an older African-American woman.Through these conversations, the author shows how some whites regarded blacks. The name Phoenix means a mythical bird, the only one of it kind that burns up and another one rise from the ashes.Phoenix decides to buy her grandson a windmill made of paper with the two nickels she has.In this short story there is also responsibility, love, guilt, and resurrection.

MY Daily Life

December 3,2012

I woke up this morning feeling like i got hit by a bread truck. On top of this it is raining out which dont help people who are feeling sick and under the weather. After school today i have some stuff to do before i head home for the day and relax.

The Road not Taken

In this poem "The Road not Taken" the literally meaning is pretty obvious.A traveler comes to a fork in the road and needs to decide which way to go to continue his journey. After much mental debate the traveler picks the road "less traveled by".The figurative meaning is not too hidden either. The poem descibes the tough choices people stand for when traveling the road of life. The words "sorry and "sigh" make the tone of the poem somewhat gloomy. The traveler regrets leaving the posibility of the road not chosen behind. He realizes he probably wont pass this way again.I think this is a good poem because it teaches you a lesson in a way that life is about choices and for us as individuals to make the best decisions possible without regrets.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I like this poem because it has a very important moral to it which is that life is like a road.No matter what way you choose it is a critical decision that should not be taken lightly. The two roads diverging in this poem represents just one of many decisions to be made in a lifetime.Sometimes we come to what is called a "fork" where the individual has to decide on a decision that would be best for them.

CBRM Smoking Ban

The Cape Breton Regional Municipality councillors are trying to force a bylaw that smoking be banned from all outdoor public spaces such as parks, public buildings, and other establishments.District 1 councillor Clarence Prince says that he doesnt like the recommendation in the sense that the staff lacks of community concern.Although some people already discussed this problem that it wasn't an issue with, its not the whole community.Prince believes the municipality should continue to ban smoking but says there's no sense in forcing a bylaw they can't enforce.
Policies that are present are difficult and do not have enough officers or staff to do the policing.District 4 councillor Claire Detheridge says that she didnt receive a complaint about the issue.District 10 councillor Darren Bruckschwaiger says if the bylaw was put in place, many people would follow it.The committee agreed to send the matter back to staff for further work.
I have been a smoker for about twenty years, and i think its a good idea that smoking be banned from public places. In my opinion for those who don't smoke, they shouldn't have to be exposed to second hand smoke or be around people who smell like an ashtray.Smoking around children is very bad for their health because it can lead to asthma, bronchitis, and other respiratory problems.
