School's out

This year was pretty good for me because i met some wonderful friends and learned alot of skills in math and communicating with others seems to be less stressful for me.I feel the year flew by like crazy,but we enjoyed each others company and were there for one another.I will never forget my friends over the summer and will keep in contact with them because friendships are very important in this day and age.I will miss my teacher joanne because she done an excellent job of teaching us and i wish her all the best in the future.How she put up with us is beyond me lol but she has and we love her for it.I feel if i hadnt went to the Bayplex this year i probably would have gone bananas because id rather sit in class and learn then do absolutely nothing.I would like to personally thank joanne for her time and patience all year, god bless you and take care.To all my classmates i will miss them sadly and wish them all the best in the future,i love you guys.We shared alot  like work,relationships,personal problems and more, and we always stuck together through thick and thin.To everyone have a safe and happy summer peace and love :)

The past week was very hectic for me due to the cold.With the change of weather on Cape Breton Island its not hard to understand why people are sick.I was looking forward to the course on wednesday, but didnt make it because i was sick.Even though i was feeling shitty i managed to get some work done on my book assignment.I am very happy that the cleanup came around yesterday, and dont have to look at the garbage on the side of the streets.Hopefully within the end of the week my cold will be gone,and i wil feel better because it sucks to be sick on nice days.I cant wait till summer to be able to walk around with sun dresses on.

Today wasnt too bad of a day.We covered alot of work between science and math.The weather isnt too bad,a little slushy.I presented my fraction poster today and my class liked it alot.

Lamb to the Slaughter

This is a story about a couple by the name of Mr and Mrs Mahoney.Mrs mahoney always stays home awaiting her husband to return from work everyday.Mr.Mahoney is a policeman who usually has a drink ready for him for when he comes home.His wife liked to sit quietly with him,enjoying his company after spending long hours alone by herself.Mrs mahoney offers to make him food but he doesnt want it,and tells her about an affair he is having and wants to leave her.She gets the leg of lamb out of the freezer and whacks him from behind,knocking him out and killing him.Mrs mahoney knows the consequences but it doesnt matter.Her concern was the fact she was pregnant and she wasnt prepared to take chances.She cooks the lamb in the oven,and goes to her room to wash and fix her makeup.Mary practices speaking to a grocer before she goes to the grocery store to get potatoes,beans,and cake.While she is there she pretends that everything is fine and nothing is out of the ordinary.When she gets home she discovers his body on the floor, kneels down and cries very hard.After a few minutes she calls the police and tells them she thinks her husband is dead.The cops come quickly and she knows nearly all of them at the police station.Mary asks if he is dead and they tell her he is, and ask her how it happened. She tells them that she went to the grocery store and when she got back,she found him on the floor.Noonan discovers dry blood on the victims head and hurries to the phone.In the meantime others began to show up like a doctor,a photographer,and a man taking fingerprints.The two detectives search the house for a murder weapon after they discover that her husband was killed by a blow to the back of the head.They ask her if anything was missing because it could have been used as a murder weapon.Mrs mahoney asks the detectives if they would like a drink and a bite to eat and they accept it.Mary listens to them while their eating,discussing the case and starts laughing because they were eating the evidence they needed to solve the crime.

The past two weeks were hectic especially with the weather we've been having lately.School was cancelled the past few mondays and tuesdays which made it boring and also made the days long.We had alot of snow come down, and i dont think mother nature is done yet.In school we are learning fractions and covered alot so far.For me school gives me confidence and i enjoy being in a classroom rather than sitting at home doing nothing.Knowledge is power, and i believe the more knowledge you have the better the future would be for us.

Cape Breton storm

This passed two weeks was hectic on our lovely town of Glace Bay.The storm kept everybody on their toes and the snow was unreal.It was pretty hectic especially when we got the freezing rain and you couldnt see out your windows.The visibility was terrible, and the roads were pretty slippery and slushy.I spent my days shoveling snow,doing my projects,and cleaning my house.My cat dawn ripped my fraction poster all up so now i have to do it over again.It was definitely a good old fashioned Cape Breton winter storm,and one we will not forget.For some people there was no power, but for me i didnt have any trouble with that as far as that goes.

Yesterday was an unusual day starting off because we went to school and within an hour and a half school was called off.I didnt see the sense of getting up early and off to school when they were going to cancel it anyway.By dinnertime the snow was getting heavy and the roads were getting bad.Moira and i had to take care of business at home so we left a little early. I waited around for the housing yesterday and they still didnt come along to look at my furnace.It was a bonus that school was called off, but i was bored silly for the rest of the day.I shovelled my driveway and did some housework, but still it was a long day for me.
