Snow day

Yesterday was an unusual day starting off because we went to school and within an hour and a half school was called off.I didnt see the sense of getting up early and off to school when they were going to cancel it anyway.By dinnertime the snow was getting heavy and the roads were getting bad.Moira and i had to take care of business at home so we left a little early. I waited around for the housing yesterday and they still didnt come along to look at my furnace.It was a bonus that school was called off, but i was bored silly for the rest of the day.I shovelled my driveway and did some housework, but still it was a long day for me.

My usual day

Today was pretty hectic for me.I started my day getting up at 5;40 to get ready to take my daughter to sydney for her appointment.We got the 7;15 bus and was in there by 8 am.Her appointment was suppose to be 9 oclock but didnt get in till 9;30.After 3 hours of sitting around we tried to get the 12 oclock bus back to glace bay, but missed it.My daughter and i finally got home at 2 and we were exhausted.We waited from 2 oclock till 7 before we heard about barrie s surgery.He went in at 3 and didnt wake up till 6;30 that evening and was home at 7.We thanked god that everything turned out all right .I didnt get home till 9 and was emotionally and physically drained.

My Christmas Vacation

Christmas vacation was pretty good for me and my family this year.The girls were pretty happy with what santa brought them,and that was all i asked for.My family stayed over my house Christmas eve,and we got to spend some quality time together.My daughter pamela was so excited she couldnt sleep a wink that night.She finally went to sleep about four in the morning and, we were woke back up at eight.Our Christmas dinner was fantastic ,and the turkey was falling apart after being cooked for four hours.For New Years i had a chance to sit down with my sister and have a few drinks.I didnt get drunk or have a hangover considering i had five or six drinks of vodka with seven up pop.Yesterday we went up my daughter s house and she did our hair for us.This 18 days that we had off for vacation is just what the doctor ordered.
